Millions of Americans are facing foreclosure on their homes and John McCain is proposing to use a portion of the 700 Billion Dollar bailout to keep people in their homes and reworking the terms of these bad loans, so people can afford the payments. This means they will start making payments again. It makes me mad that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac assured Americans the housing market was good. John McCain warned this was a serious concern in 2005. Barack Obama also claims he warned of this, but I want to know if this was before or after he was the second largest recipient of money from these agencies. I have been a responsible homeowner for over ten years and instead of seeing my investment growing it is now on the decline.

Health care is another issue. If people can't pay their mortgages how can they pay the penalties that Obama's plan will impose on them for not having insurance on their children? This will hurt the middle class and the poor. I know health care in America needs reform, but we have the best doctors in the world. A unified health care system does not work. In Canada their taxes are so high to cover health care and the waiting lists are too long that many people come to America to have surgery.

Energy Independence is our national security. There are plans to build new nuclear plants for the fist time in 30 years. Barack Obama can't take credit for this one, because the NRC is already moving forward with the plans. McCain supports drilling offshore. This not a solution for the increased amount of oil that America needs, but it is a bridge to keeping the petro-dollars in America and out of the hands of people who want to harm us until other renewable sources of energy can be created.

Nina, Obama had no real answers. I'm not sure if you know that McCain was the older guy with the answers and Obama was the "Jr" repeating what McCain had to say. When he wasn't repeating he wasn't giving any real answers. He was talking in circles. A modern day snake oil salesman.
